Rangers may have possibility of landing Richards

Richards: Reports indicates Dallas Stars owner Tom Hicks is in some financial trouble and may look to cut team payroll. There is now speculation that Brad Richards $7.8 million a year contract could be on the move as a result. It has been hinted that the Rangers may be interested in Richards.

Jmess: If the Stars are in financial troubles cutting Richards huge contract only makes sense. Just don't know if anyone is willing to take on his massive contract as his production hasn't matched his pay as of late. The Rangers do have a history of taking on expensive centers so the Rangers portion of this rumor could be a little believable.
